Alan Weland, VP and General Manager, Suez (NJ Operations)

Mr. Weland has over 33 years of water and wastewater utility operations and engineering experience, providing operations technical assistance, engineering management, capital project design and implementation, capital program management, corporate business development, and management of complex water and wastewater systems. His engineering expertise spans the entire project implementation cycle from planning and design to construction management and start-up. Operations technical support experience includes performing operator training, plant evaluation and process optimization, and troubleshooting control systems and operational problems. He has held senior management/executive management positions for large water and wastewater systems in both the regulated utility and contract services sectors, including the second largest private water utility in the State of New Jersey and the largest public-private partnership in the North American wastewater utility industry.
