A Message From Rich Henning, President and CEO
It is truly incredible how fast this first year as President & CEO of NJUA has gone.
We have accomplished much but have so much more to achieve.
While we have set the stage for our new Mission and Vision for NJUA, thanks to our committed members and supporters, we will need to move quickly on the issues in front of us, such as the state’s transition to a clean energy future, new regulations for both lead and PFAS, and new rules for broadband service to enable equitable access for inner city and rural residents. The NJUA is committed to working with our members to provide tangible solutions for these issues and others that have surfaced.
In 2023, we mourned the loss of a longtime public servant and clean energy partner in President Joe Fiordaliso, but we look forward to continuing the good work we started under President Guhl-Sadovy – who we proudly featured in this issue of our newsletter – and her team to accomplish our mutual goals for reliable and affordable service to our residential and business customers throughout New Jersey.
Together, as we look to 2024, the NJUA will continually educate and urge state leaders to ensure that we have a properly and orderly planned transition to a future that includes precise solutions to the concerns facing utilities today.
Thank you for your support this year, and please accept my best wishes for a warm and happy holiday season with family and friends.
