NJBPU 2025 Summer Internship Program Applications Are Open

To qualify, applicants must be a New Jersey resident or enrolled in a New Jersey college or university with at least two years of college-level education, be a recent graduate, or a current graduate student.

TRENTON -- The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities 2025 Summer Internship Program is now accepting applications. 

Internships at the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities are designed to provide highly motivated college students or recent graduates practical training, work experience, and professional development opportunities that are best suited for those interested in careers in administration, law, regulatory efforts, state and federal policy, and government.

The opportunity pays $20 per hour and applications are due by March 31. Among the divisions accepting interns are:

-Chief of Staff's Office

-Division of Reliability & Security

-Office of Communications

-Office of the Economist

-State Emergency Service

-Customer Assistance

-InformationTechnology

-Division of Clean Energy

-Office of Federal & Regional Policy

To qualify, applicants must be a New Jersey resident or enrolled in a New Jersey college or university with at least two years of college-level education, be a recent graduate, or a current graduate student.

Applicants can submit their resume to humanresources@bpu.nj.gov using the format "NAME [first last], Semester Year [i.e. Fall 2023], and Division [i.e. Reliability and Security] Intern Application" in the subject line of their email.
