Jeff Press, Promise

Jeff is an experienced government technology executive with over 17 years of experience working in multiple government agencies, think-tanks, and technology companies. Jeff currently serves as the Chief Revenue Officer at Promise, a payment technology company focused on providing flexible, affordable payment options to simplify utility and government debt and help people pay their bills. Jeff is responsible for all growth initiatives and strategic partnerships. Prior to Promise, Jeff was a Vice President at Tyler Technologies (NYSE: TYL) responsible for the growth of Tyler's data & analytics service line. Tyler is the largest software company in the world solely focused on providing integrated software and technology services to the public sector. Jeff also served as the Chair of the Board of Advisors for the Data Coalition, America's premier voice on data transformation in government. Jeff served as the Practice Leader for Government Performance during his tenure at Socrata, the leading provider of open data technologies for government, prior to being acquired by Tyler Technologies in 2018.

Prior to joining Socrata, Jeff served as the Deputy Director of Performance Strategy at the U.S. Department of Commerce where he was responsible for leading performance improvement and innovation across the entire organization. Prior to Commerce, Jeff worked with the White House Office of Management and Budget to launch the U.S. Performance Improvement Council. He served as a Senior Advisor and was instrumental in establishing the Council as the central hub for government-wide benchmarking and collaboration. He also played a key role in implementing the President’s Management Agenda. Jeff has been interviewed as a government performance expert on ABC-7 in Washington, DC, has authored numerous articles, and is published in the Public Performance & Management Review. Jeff graduated from The George Washington University and resides in Washington, DC.
